Graphite has been the go-to anode material for lithium-ion batteries since they were first widely commercialized but has reached its technical limits. This, along with the growing supply chain constraints will make graphite a less-than-optimal choice going forward. C-BATT™ is bringing to market Obsidia, a domestic, high-performance anode material that can supplement or completely replace graphite depending on end-use requirements.

Meet the Team

Our Lab

Our lab, located in Oviedo, FL has everything we need to synthesize anode material, mix and coat anode powder onto current collectors, assemble prototype cells and test performance. Having this equipment and related expertise allows us to own the quality and performance of the product from start to finish.

Synthesis

Our mixers, ovens & particle sizing/shaping equipment allow for the consistency required for high-performance materials.

Testing

Our testing equipment allows for deeper understanding of the electrochemical behavior, mechanisms and performance of our material.

Coating & Assembly

We have all of the coating equipment needed to create anodes of various loadings for testing. All assembly is done in an Argon filled glovebox.
